Heavy Metal Testing

Layer 1

Overview

Harmful toxic elements can be absorbed into cannabis plants primarily through uptake from the soil, water, and fertilizer. Maine requires that all cannabis products must be tested for harmful chemicals: Cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), arsenic (As), and mercury (Hg). By coupling Microwave Digestion and ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) technologies, Indicative Testing can effectively prepare and analyze cannabis for toxic element analysis, with a sensitivity 10x lower than Maines’ strictest requirement.
