Homogeneity Testing

Layer 1

Overview

Indicative-Testing performs homogeneity analysis using HPLC (liquid chromatography) systems to determine and quantify cannabinoids. Maine requires that the relative standard deviation of Total THC or Total CBD content, using test results of two separately collected increments and the field primary sample collected for potency analysis, is less than 15% in order to pass. This helps ensure customer confidence and satisfaction through label accuracy, a proven shortfall across the cannabis industry.
A minimum of 3 samples should be submitted in separate packages, labeled A, B, C. If this is an add on to a Cannabinoid test, then only two additional separate samples are required following state sampling protocols.
