Virus DNA Testing

Layer 1

Overview

Our scientists extract nucleic acids (RNA/DNA) from plant tissue followed by RT-PCR. The RT-PCR amplification product is then hybridized to a DNA microarray. Detection of specific viral pathogens is determined by fluorescence value of specific spots on the microarray when visualized by the plate reader.
